Farmer Jack's

On Sunday October 23rd Jer, Noah (dressed in his Taz bunting - thanks Pauly Wogs!) and I went apple and pumpkin pickin' at Farmer Jack's Orchard in Lambeth. It is a HUGE orchard with rows and rows of apples, pumpkins, squash and gourds. There is every kind of apple imaginable there, and not only are they delicious, but they are cheap!!! Although we couldn't find any pumpkins in the patch worth taking, we decided to put our little pumpkin in with the others that were for sale at the store...we think we got the best one of all!

Corn Maze

On October 15th (Aunt Karrie's birthday!), Jer, Noah and I went with the birthday girl and her family (Jeff, Christo and Michael) to the Belmont Corn Maze. It is a 10 acre maze that takes a couple of hours to walk through. We put Noah in his front carrier and off we went. It was a LOT of fun, especially with the cousins there. Christopher especially liked looking at the "spooky stuff", as seen in the picture. Noah was quiet the whole time!
What a great adventure!!!

Noah at 6 weeks

Noah is really starting to come into his own. He is awake and alert much (MUCH!) more than ever ( nights included!). He is starting to smile - the corners of his mouth will curl up randomly.
He is a big boy, weighing in at 11lbs and 23 inches long. He's already outgrown MANY of his 0-3 month clothes, mainly because his long legs make pants look like capris!!
This picture shows just how much neck control Noah has developed already. Sometimes when I look at it, I swear he's already looking like a little boy!!!

Go Leafs Go!

Noah's dad's (Jeremy) birthday happened to fall on same day as the season opener of the NHL. This was the best birthday present he could have ever received! When Noah was born, I gave him a sleeper of Jer's favourite team, Toronto Maple Leafs.

On Jer's birthday, Noah donned his Maple Leafs sleeper and cheered on the Leafs with his dad. Here is a picture of Noah and his dad before the game. Aunty Lou made him a Maple Leafs cake. You can see the emblem in the picture.

The other picture is of Noah and Papa Weber. Both of them dressed up in support of the Leafs. Noah's even holding a flag - what a strong boy!!!

The Magic Chair

When Noah came home from the hospital, he was just under 7 pounds. I put him in the boucy chair and almost immediately took him out. He just looked so small and hunched over in it - almost looked cruel! At about 3 weeks, I tried it again. I put only the music on, as I couldn't see the vibration being much fun for him (plus I didn't want to jiggle his brain around!). He fussed after only a couple minutes, so I decided to try the vibration. Whithin seconds he quieted down and the entire 15 minute cycle went through without a peep from him!
Now, it is our saviour! Whenever he's in a fuss, we put him in the chair. He will often fall asleep in it - but we don't dare let it stop! He will fuss within seconds of it stopping, and will go right back to sleep if we turn it back on! I HIGHLY recommend the bouncy chair!!!

Noah loves his Gymini

Noah's Great Aunt Bunny and cousin Janet bought him a "Noah's Ark Gymini" for his baby shower when he was 4 1/2 weeks old. I put him down on it to see what he would do. Normally, Noah does not really like to be on his back for long periods of time unless he's sleeping.
He was quite fascinated with the dangling items on the gymini, especially the rainbow. In fact, on his first attempt, he managed to swat at and hit the rainbow rattle. His long legs kicked in delight when he heard the sound! He also loves to look at himself in the mirror, making faces and sounds as he checks himself out

Noah is one month

Well, Noah is officially one month old. I can hardly believe how quickly the time flies..it really does feel like only yesterday that I went into the hospital only half convinced I was actually having a baby!

Noah's personality is starting to show. We are beginning to tell when he is enjoying something and also when he's about to blow!

Noah likes: being on his tummy, bathtime with dad, his bouncy chair, being swaddled, and cuddles

Noah dislikes: his swing, being put to bed too soon, diaper changes and being naked.

Any day now we're going to see a true, authentic smile. He has been practicing it for a couple of weeks now. I can't wait to see his little eyes light up when he's got it!
